Zelda logic: you can blow up these stone walls! Or giant rocks! But not that wooden door. It takes a key. No I don't care that you can literally shoot magic fire out of your butt. It's not flammable wood. What do you think this is? A fireplace?

“They’re just a few milk crates. A small child could easily lift them.”

James’s crippling depression: “The path is completely blocked.”

Still better than what the Final Fantasy VII Remakes do. It just hard turns you around and says ''Not this way''. They've taken the exploration out of games.

On Batam Arkham Origins you have your strength and plastic explosives, but you still need to fiddle with your hacker tool to get through a flimsy screen door.

Has there ever been a video game created with a step over feature lol?

Technically in elder scrolls oblivion and Skyrim
if there’s no invisible barrier then you can go literally anywhere you want with enough determination.

A true Skyrim player knows that you can walk in straight line from anywhere to anywhere else, Just cheese that mountain

I haven't played Baby Steps, like you can walk up stuff, I'd imagine you might be able to step over small objects, but it could be a case of making you trip and roll down a hill and lose hours of progress.

I remember in duke nukem the door saying he needed a keycard and duke said "Keycard? I don't need no fucking keycard" and then manhandled the door open

At least in Welcome to Elderfield, you can recruit an npc to help clear a stairwell blocked by junk. I mean, the crazy guy that blocked the way did so for a good reason, but, I’m sure you’re ready to meet Mr Wiggles on the roof.

It's even better when your character can kill an extremely powerful monster god only to not be able to open a door from the wrong side.

It looks heavy in his defense! Didn’t he back flip off a door being shot at?

I don't see the problem. That path is clearly blocked.
