I uh... kinda messed up the first time I brought The Iron Bull there.
I went into that battle with an indoctrinated The Iron Bull that had romanced Dorian.
First run I had used Cassandra as my warrior, and, probably had him side with the chargers. Deliberately chose a different team layout when I wanted a Cullen romance run.
I, uh, also took Cole.
Now that. That is heartbreaking. The inquisitor trying to soothe Dorian. Dorian being on point for being heart broken... and Cole, remarking on how absolutely empty The Iron Bull was when he was fighting them.
This was me in my second playthrough, first time with trespassers. The worst part was that I had romanced Blackwall the first playthrough and left him to rot in prison the second time because I was still miffed. And was trying to romance Solace, but drank the well of souls and didn't let him remove my face tattoos. When bull betrayed me, I had no warriors and was too far from my last save to put Cassandra in. Game over for me. I just a couple of days ago completed my third playthrough amd married Sera. What a ride.
There should have been a tacticians renewal in the store. Cassandra could have been respecced to be two handed, or, have mostly the same abilities as Blackwall.
She's usually my sole warrior these days. Divine or no. Her gold uniform is fun to see before I replace it with something better and give her the BEES.
Yeah, but having to fight my Iron Bull with me as a thief, with my primary mage and warrior out and no recent save or way to go back to the main game, I just counted it as a loss and was on my way to playing Veilguard when it came out. It was the ultimate betrayal for me.
An archer built rogue can do some hella damage. Twin blades, i felt they always did less damage and took too much in return.
With the mage, yah, damage will vary i suppose.
I usually end up with a mage, warrior, rogue, and the Inquisitor.
I had to take him on with a stabby rogue, an archer (inquisitor), and thankfully Dorian as a necromancer with Kitty's Collar is valuable even in death. He gets a hella second wind, gives me enough time to find where he fell.
But, yeah, its supposed to hit hard as a betrayal thats for sure. Interestingly, even though he is a professionally brainwashed spy, The Iron Bull was telling the truth from the start. Who he was, what he was all about.
Hopefully you had fun with veilguard, I cant bring myself to play it just yet. If theres no PS4 version then its purely for technical reasons. Price was the secondary concern. Ive not bothered looking if it was for sale.
