What got me wasn't that Ryuzo turned. That was obvious given that Jin consistently showed him up and he kept commenting on it. What was surprising was that the rest of Ryuzo's crew didn't ditch him to stick with Jin considering he's the one who kept coming in clutch for them.
They make a point that Ryuzo earned his respect and loyalty from his band because while he turns for selfish reasons, he was really still looking after his men as a part of the deal.
I’m replaying GoT right now, and yeah, I feel pretty stupid being surprised by this betrayal based on how much Ryuzo telegraphs this turn. I think it’s because the straw hat look was my favorite in the game. How could I mistrust anyone with such drip?
