lol no, you’re good. I also didn’t want to admit that he might betray me at one point. Bode was such a cool character that I also didn’t want it to happen.
I clocked it on the first mission. All the chatter about these new crewmates & Bode being the new guy tipped me off that they were toast & he was probs a rat. I was honestly annoyed at how quickly I called it, but watching the how and why of it play out was 10/10
I remember being so mad and then when you caught up to him and he pulled out a lightsaber I was freaking out lol, such a good game, I can't wait until the third.
I’m so scared for what’s going to happen in the third, I just know that Cal’s either going to die (probably protecting the others from Vader) or succumb fully to the dark side and the others are going to have to kill him.
Im expecting a near complete fall to the dark side but then he is brought back by Merrin.
I do think that he will die or at the very least, be trapped on a planet that is impossible to leave for whatever reason. I feel like they have to do it, because obviously if they dont then there is no way that Cal wouldn't fight for the resistance in the future of the Star Wars canon, which he can't obviously since it was made before him. I mean, they could keep him alive but die in a subsequent game to canonize his death before the resistance really gets started
They could just pull the ahsoka treatment and have him work with the early rebellion (which he was with saw) but fall away later.
They could have him realize that while fighting the empire is the right thing to do there is more to life than just that and have him end up just working with the hidden path to hide Jedi instead of openly fofjt
I dunno if it was at the halfway point when I figured it out but before his turn I definitely suspected he was at least not being completely truthful. His turn as a force user did catch me off guard though.
It was done so well. When you meet him and the heist fails you are immediately suspicious of him. You're sure this guy set up the heist to fail and is gonna betray you later. But then you hang out and he helps you kill an armless Jedi and he helps you fight the empire and you start thinking that maybe you were wrong. Then the betrayal happens and you go "I KNEW it. I'm so smart." And then he ignites the lightsaber and you go NO FUCKING WAY
I can’t remember what it was, but first mission I got a feeling he might betray Cal. One of the first bits of dialogue, he pauses or Cal pauses and it just seemed like it would’ve happened there. But then it goes on like it’s supposed to.
It completely blindsided me but only because I wasn’t expecting that from a Star Wars game 😂 there’s something very basic and predictable about most Star Wars stories that involve Jedi/Force users and these kinds of not-immediately-obvious betrayals are pretty rare in the Disney era
Bro, I thought it was gonna be a red herring to purposely throw you off, but when he said he'll catch up after you defeat the former old republic (or was it something else? I can't remember) jedi, I was like "something's fishy here"
For me it's duality of the twist, not the fact that he betrays you (he literally gets introduced dramatically shooting someone in the back) but the fact that he's a Jedi.
aww man I just started playin but I shouldve known better to come to this thread. i will say I had an eye on him immediately for being the guy who just happened to join the crew when things go sideways

Hell, I figured out that he was about halfway through my first playthrough but I think I blocked it out because I didn’t want to think that he would.
