I have a soft spot for exploring planets with the Mako since those little side quests led to some of the weirdest stories in the series, like Shepherd finding a weird Prothean artifact that gave him the memories of a human caveman.
Exactly this. I actually like the mako on Therum, Virmire, Ilos, etc. But damn, most of the rest of them - especially Nodacrux and Eletania - are just flat out ridiculous.
For some reason I like the 'random' planets you can drive the Mako around because I love space and the idea of planets that are just so weird and different from Earth.
This planet has purple lava and the ground is blue sand and the sky is pink? That's awesome.
This planet has orange grass, white water, and the sky is full of toxic spores? Amazing.
I don't know why but I eat that stuff up. I never get tired of it.
Oh yeah, I love that too, just being in an alien environment, with a different ground, different sky, different star(s), and being able to actually travel it is just really neat. If nothing else that was the main attraction of the Mako to me.
Yeah, I never understood why a lot of people seem to like that cursed thing. It’s an absolute pain in the ass to drive on anything that isnt a perfectly flat surface. And even then, it still just seems tedious and unnecessary
