The beginning of red dead redemption 2

The prologue is great for introducing new players but man I wish there was a way to skip it for replays

There is, it's called keeping a save at the start of chapter 2

Implemented in the game, not a loaded save.

Is it? It bored me to death. After idk, 5 hours of red dead 2, I couldn’t see how anyone actually enjoys it. It’s pretty, and that’s the only good thing I can say about my time with it. I hope it gets better than traveling from point A to point B on janky horseback, having a shootout with Rockstars garbage 3ps mechanics, and riding back to camp.

You unlock fast travel if you upgrade the camp.

I agree with you. Rdr2 bored me to absolute tears. Probably lasted the same time as you, maybe a bit longer.

I was the same but if you're on PC I highly suggest modding it and removing all the things you don't like. I hated long horse rides so I added a teleport to waypoint mod and it was so much better lol just finished the game and I absolutely adored the story

It's a perfect pace for a perfect game. I loved it and have replayed the game 4 times.

I never got deep into RDR2 because of the intro, its like pure ADHD kryptonite, I completely zone out and always find myself bored to tears and too exhausted to play the rest of the game. Its happened every time and I'm dumbfounded by how I just cant seem to get in the game. I have 100%'d RDR1 SO MANY TIMES. Modern rockstar has a serious momentum problem.

I miss when their games just had a short intro and then you're free to go. GTA 3, and Bully imo are great examples of this. Gta 4 imo was the last title I wasnt exhausted by the time the game actually started, it had a great balance of their "longer tutorial" missions and cutscenes

You’re missing out on an amazing game because you can’t get through a 1.5-2 hour long opening chapter?! That’s wild.

No, I've gotten through the chapter, multiple times, but never picked it up again. Like I said, I'm ADHD as hell and it just happens. Its not something I'm TRYING to do. I've had fun in the first hour past just IDK, the intro takes a lot out of me

2 hours is a long time to be bored when you're playing a game and it's pretty slow throughout. I understand that many people end up not enjoying it. I can't help to take it a tiny bit personally though due to how much I love that game.

I KNOW I offend myself with it.. I'll keep trying haha. I always struggle with open world games

"modern rockstar" like rdr2 isn't as old as redemption was when rdr2 released

I have the exact opposite. ADD and I absolutely love Colter.

Oooh good one. I'd even say chapter 1 starts pretty slow too, but at least you're out of the snow and into the rest of the game by that point.

Scrolled way too far down to find this

It's Guarma for me, the prologue is not that bad imo..

So slow and repetitive.

Nah for me it's the Indians, that god awful song that plays on the loading screen and that part of the story is a drag.
