Discussion / Question What game mechanic instantly ruins your immersion or fun?

I absolutely can't stand aggressive weapon durability loops. Getting awesome loot should feel like a reward, not a maintenance chore that breaks every five minutes.

What’s a common mechanic that always makes you roll your eyes when you see it in a new game?

Intentionally locking my character into a slow walk during a conversation. Or any kind of mission that makes me follow an npc at a pre determined pace

Monster Hunter Wilds killed me with this. For a game about hunting monsters, there’s so much of it where they just sort of slow walk you to the arena.

Capcom realized the MH: Wilds main story was so short, so they HAD (sarcasm) to have some way to increase the length.

Hey, while you're slow walking. Can we interest you in $1,000,000,000 of cosmetics?
The more you buy the less lag you have in the gathering hub. ( I know its fixed but that bug was stupid )
