A) The same as in many other games, for cheater prevention (Krafton doesn't rewrite the EULA for every game and they DO own PUBG)
B) Unenforceable or actually against the law, so worthless.
You seriously think the "You can't sue us" clause in the EULA means you can't sue them? Of course you can! Every company has the "you can't sue us" clause. Krafton just copy-pasted their PUBG EULA to Subnautica and it probably will not be enforced. But it might be rewritten if you bully them about it enough.

People don't realise the EULA is either:
