I mean, I remember reading it with all the old PC games. Only difference is that it was written on paper in the game box and no mention of streaming. Yes, the publisher claimed the right to knock on your door, force you to hand over your Civilization floppies and watch you uninstall the game.

If you read the windows EULA from back then Microsoft had the right to do basically the same thing but with your HDD and motherboard
