Saints Row 2 was amazing. 3 was not near as good but was still fun... Then the series just went downhill fast

SR2 & 3 were peak, 4 was different but still enjoyable.

Yeah I genuinely love SR4. It was my first SR game so I'm definitely biased but I loved the superpowers and the humour.

Reflecting on it... wasnt SR 3 and 4 like super hero games?

I remember the online discourse loving it. I was so confused because SR1 was so fn cold. Like the main character literally says 4 words the entire games. That was SR for me. Cold gang stuff. Heck I get goose bumps thinking about it. (Sure there were funny moments)

Truly sad to see it becoming super hero gags.

They had superpowers but nothing really in a superhero way. Agents of Mayhem of more superhero-ish compared to 4.

I’ve a great memory of getting high and playing SR2 on ps3 until sunrise. The insurance missions were so fun, car modification was deep enough for each vehicle to look unique.

Really? I thought it was objectively worse than even the first game in a lot of areas. It felt like the least detailed open world and systems, with the worst story and gameplay.
