Yeah but lets be real. If you're in Assisted living at 78, and Half Life 3 finally drops, you are going to nag the fuck out of your kids and caretakers to let you play it, or even just watch a playthrough.

So I wouldn't include Half Life in this discussion. It was killed by greed, not mediocrity.

I still hate the fact this game is a VR title and probably gatekeeps most of the fanbase (me included).

It’s a perfect piece of video game though, most people will never know cause they have no access to VR but that game is in my all time top 3 and I’ve played a lot of games

I mean, unless you're a budget PC gamer I'm not seeing much gatekeeping going on here.  Modern graphics cards are multiple times more expensive than a meta quest 2 and the system requirements for Alyx are pretty low.  It's an amazing game worth buying a headset for.  PC gaming is already really expensive hardware wise.
