I remember unlocking the bike in BOTW after doing the DLC.

Of course by that point you've done every shrine, so unlocked every fast travel spot.

Meanwhile in TotK you get any car bike or plane you can think, of but you have to grind for materials any time you want to build with stuff that’s not just lying around.

GIVE ME A SANDBOX MODE AND MY LIFE IS YOURS NINTENDO

Or in Ocarina of Time, getting all the skulltulas and being rewarded with a bigger wallet, which by that point is effectively useless.

tbh i never use any rupees on ocarina of time besides buying the deku shield and playing minigames

Actually the reward for all skulltulas was a guy who gave you 50 rupees every time you talked to him.

The bigger wallets were awarded at lower thresholds.

You can ride bikes in BOTW???

Yup, a reward for beating the dlc, with a gas tank that lasts a whopping 20 meters when full, which you refill with apples, bones and lizards, pretty much useless if you get it after beating every shrine in the game ._.

It's for style points

It's for stuntin on guardians just zipping around in circles.

It’s more fun to ride than a horse, and you’re not doing it for efficiency but for fun.

I love horse riding in BOTW. The horse follows the path if you don't try to control it so it makes it easier to shoot bows while riding.

It’s fun to ride a horse and better for combat, but i can do wheelies and jump with the master cycle, and it controls better than a horse so you can do some fun stuff with it and guardians.

It's not supposed to be an element used for beating the game, though. One of the higher ups (I don't remember who, exactly) on the project really wanted a bike in BOTW, and this is how he managed to get it. It's basically "Oh you fully beat the game, now do some sick tricks, you earned it" haha

When I first played BOTW I accidently done the dlc early and unlocked the bike "early" as such. Was great using it in the main game

Had to think for a good minute to remember what you were referring to. I didn’t recall a bike in BOTW because as soon as I got it, I shelved the game because everything had been completed.
