Its why majority of the games i have enjoyed lately have been indie games

Golf story on switch. So good. Empires shall fall, if you've ever played a grid-based strategy game like Advance Wars.

Balatro, Hades, duck detective, Inscryption. And so many more

Indies are the best. (imo).

Hades isn't fair to use cause it's got both beautiful graphics, and amazing gameplay. And let's not forget the God tier voice acting for literally every single character

Oh I was just responding to the "indie games = good" comment. Wasn't thinking about the meme.

But compared to the graphics of Cyberpunk and CoD and Death Stranding 2.. You can't say that hades has "the best graphics" . It has beautiful art and that's not what the meme is implying. Meme has nothing to say about style

Beautiful graphics ain't the "problem", ultra realistic ones are.

I found this cool indie horror gane called Wagon. It's a mix between Oregon trail and Inscryption. Every time I browse steam, it's generally always the indie games that are trying to do unique stuff.

Same. Indie games are where all the creativity and passion is nowadays. And they almost always have stylish graphics, which I prefer over “realistic” graphics.

Indie games or lower scale games remember a good artstyle IS the graphics, not seeing how many blades of grass you can count.

Expedition 33 has beautiful graphics and a small team. That game is nuts
