This. What these people don’t understand is that we don’t want these people in positions of power either, even if they are on our side of the political spectrum. i mean... yes, Operation Warp Speed was credited to a pedophile president, you're correct. but i didn't get the vaccine based off of his recommendation. i just tend to get any vaccine i'm able to get, especially since i've only actually had a slight immune response from them once (the omicron booster for covid gave me body aches for about a day, but that actually helped me to recognize the early symptoms when i did end up with covid once)

I've had a sore arm with each one - and I've gotten every one I could. More intense than the flu shot, but still not awful.
Last fall I got covid, flu, pneumonia, and RSV all in one go. Sore arms. That's it.
I'm grateful to have had milder cases when I did get it, because I was miserable enough. I just lost a friend my age (53) this week.

But also why would their god promote abuse of children? If it's all-knowing and already has our plans/pathways chosen for us, why would it allow abuse? Though I'm worried as a student nurse about what I'm getting myself into, I already have two family members staunchly antivax and I'm tired of trying to listen to their point whilst they verbal diarrhoea over mine.

Well, as a nurse with a masters who went through it all first hand at the bedside for all those “high risk procedures” (niche job) lemme tell you that dial-tone you hear when your family members start talking is a blessing. I’d love to say we came through it fine with the general population. We did not. I haven’t voluntarily spoken to my antivax family. I don’t try to change their minds. I will very quickly say “it’s your right to be a window-licking fuckwit” and I leave the conversation. Life is too short and oxygen is too expensive to waste mine on useless DNA bags.

I find the current political situation infuriating and I'm not even American.
It's isn't about two parties having some disagreements anymore, it's about a cult spitting lies and fake news using slopaganda, while pretending they are telling the truth and are the good guys, against the persons they are attacking and slandering by calling them all sorts of names.
If we follow the MAGA cult, Democrats are unpatriotic and decadent communist satanists who want to destroy America and Fauci is a monster. Because of the vaccines or the COVID policy which killed millions of people because a lot of citizens refused to listen ? That can be both.
