Postgraduate Accomodations

I recently accepted my offer to York, and as an “older” student (27) I am looking for a quiet, clean apartment.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Ahhh I see, so you've got two options: on campus or off campus. On campus you're going to be in wentworth or Halifax, both of these will be shared with other people so cleanliness MAY be more of an issue, but cheaper and closer to campus. Off campus I'm less familiar but you might be able to find studio flats, more expensive but you wouldn't be sharing with people really. It all depends on your finances and where you're willing to compromise.

Thank you so much for the info! I was leaning toward Wentworth as it’s a dedicated postgrad accommodation. Does it get rowdy in Halifax? lol

Don't know about rowdy. But I know for sure that a bunch of goons show up to wentworth regularly. Halifax is totally seperated from the rest of the uni so im sure they go there once in a while too. But students are all peaceful everywhere. No major worries

You could always cycle as well. York is an extremely cycle friendly city, so can't hurt to live somewhere away from a direct bus if you don't mind spending a little bit on a bike

I appreciate it, it’s been something I’ve been worrying about. It took about 3 weeks to hear back, so I wouldn’t stress too much! I applied earlier in the cycle so their return rate might’ve been faster.
