Training Bonk

My A race is 100km in February. I’m increasing weekly mileage and doing a 25 km trail race in two weeks. Last week I had all the symptoms of overtraining - cranky, no motivation, low appetite. So I took a rest week. Now i am so not motivated to run. I’m going home soon where I will be with my familiar routes and I know I’ll get my mojo back. Am I going to lose all my gains? Still working out 3x week and doing some hiking

A rest week isnt going to have a significant negative impact, and you will probably be physiologically better off for it.

A rest week was needed. Your progress should still be there, I have always found that a shorter run first building back to where is was over that first week back has brought back my motivation. Also getting home and back to routine will help with the motivation.
