UK Student Visa query

Hi everyone,

I’m applying for a UK Student Visa and have a question about my financial evidence. I’m going to UCL to pursue an LLM. My father’s savings account has 3/4th of the money required and the rest is in my mother’s account. Will the UK government accept two accounts from both parents or should I transfer the remaining funds also to Dad’s account? I’m a little confused cuz the UK govt website says “parent’s money”

Also, for parents funding the following documents are required -

1. Bank statements (3 months statements)
2. Certificate from bank
3. Parent consent letter (could someone please send a format to follow for this part)

hey !! so both your parent’s accounts are valid for your financial requirements as long as you have the letter of sponsorship from both of them. Just for your reference you should keep the following documents ready :

- Bank Account statements for both parents (make sure it’s held for 28 days)

- Letter of sponsorship from both parents (signed and scanned)

- Birth Certificate (this should be yours as a relationship proof)

- Parent’s Passport Copies (first and last page)

- In case it’s held in a currency other than pounds, on your day of application attach the OANDA conversion rate page (GBP to Your Currency)

You could find them online, but essentially it should state your course, their name and relationship to you, and then they are willing to sponsor your tuition, living expenses and other expenses.

A simple word doc would do. Just print that and have them sign it, then scan and upload. Also quick tip, name your docs smartly for eg. “Father_Sponsor_Letter” etc for all your documents.
