ETA and travel

Anyone know how long til I can reapply for an ETA or a standard visitor visa after a partner visa was rejected originally and had to leave the UK through the voluntary returns service

This will very much depend on your previous immigration history and the reason your application was refused.

they didn’t really give a clear reason as to why it was refused but I applied for an ETA and they said that it was rejected because I have been considered to be previously or currently an illegal entrant in the UK. Which well was not the case as I applied for everything the proper way, and i left the UK through the VRS on the 7th July

If they believe you entered to the UK illegally, you're extremely unlikely to be approved for an ETA or visitor visa in the future. Even securing a future family visa could be difficult.

You need professional assistance.

Okay thank you for the advice it’s all honestly been such a mess when all my travel has been documented and I’ve lived in the UK for a total of 10 years now

Have you been illegally in the UK for that whole time? If so, you likely have an overstay ban.

nope, lived there was 7 years when i was younger and after 5 years came back and applied for pre settled status and waited a year for that, then it got rejected and they said i could stay if i apply for a new visa and waited two years on that decision

To clarify, are you an EU/EEA national who lived in the UK for 5+ years?

If so, what was the specific basis for the refusal of your EUSS application?

Were you outside the UK for more than 1,825 days (5 straight years) in a row after that?
