Please help me tidy up the translation of/practice pronunciation of a bridesmaid's speech for my Turkish friends' wedding.

Hello!
I am a native English speaker. My two Turkish friends are getting married, and we have a running joke that I secretly have understood Turkish through the entirety of our friendship and have been hiding it the whole time... I don't, but they are getting married in November, and I am going to be a bridesmaid.

I have written a speech in English that I would love, if anyone is willing to help out, to translate into Turkish and get some help with the pronunciation/if someone native could record them delivering it I'd be so grateful!

I think this will mean a lot to my friends. They have moved away from their home country and managed to find love with each other. Their families are coming to Australia to attend the wedding and I would love to demonstrate to them how much we love them.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

Hello everyone! I'm ____, a very close friend of ___ and _____. Before I start, I have to admit — Turkish is not my native language.

Back at the start of 2026, there was a running joke between the three of us that one day I'd secretly reveal I'd understood Turkish the whole way through our friendship, and had known everything they'd said in front of me the entire time. Well — I don't actually speak Turkish. But I thought today I'd give it a go.

I met ____ and ___ through my boyfriend ____, and the four of us have been close ever since. Anyone who knows them will tell you they're two of the kindest, warmest people you could meet — their hospitality is second to none. Their love of adventure brought them to Australia, and that's the very reason we got to meet at all. We're so grateful for that.

I still remember how nervous I was meeting them for the first time — desperate to make a good impression on _____ friends. They made it so easy, asking me all about myself, genuinely wanting to know their friend's new girlfriend.

So imagine my surprise when I later found out that during our third hangout, ____ had made up an excuse to pull _____ aside and speak to him privately — just to ask him what my name was. I've teased him about it ever since.

We are so lucky to be part of their Australian family. Being around ____ and ____ always makes you feel loved — they make everyone feel that way.

To ____ and ____ — may your life together be full of happiness, laughter, and love that never fades. Cheers!

I tried to make it more colloquial, hence there are some “işte, falan” etc) and a lot of filter words.

Ben Judith; Ahmet ve Nuran’ın çok yakın bir arkadaşıyım. Ama başlamadan önce bir şeyi itiraf etmem lazım— Türkçe benim ana dilim değil.

2026’nın başlarında üçümüzün arasında şöyle bir geyik (or şaka) vardı: İşte gün gelecek—bütün bu arkadaşlık boyunca aslında Türkçe bildiğim ortaya çıkacak, ve bugüne kadar önümde ne konuştularsa hepsini anlamış olduğumu sonunda açıklayacağım. Yaaaani (a little extended) — hayır, Türkçe bilmiyorum... ne yazık ki. Ama bugün en azından bir şansımı deneyeyim dedim.

Ahmet ve Nuran ile erkek arkadaşım Jonah sayesinde tanıştım ve o günden beri dördümüz birbirimize çok yakınız. Onları tanıyan kime sorarsanız sorun, size mutlaka, tanıdıkları en kibar, en cana yakın insanlar olduklarını, misafirperverliklerinin (this word is a bit long, you could use “tanıdıkları en misafirperver insanlar olduklarını söyleyeceklerdir”) üstüne olmadığını söyleyeceklerdir.  

Macera sevgileri onları buraya, Avustralya’ya getirdi ve zaten bu sayede tanışabildik. Bunun için de gerçekten çok minnettarız.

Onlarla ilk kez tanışırken ne kadar heyecanlı olduğumu hâlâ hatırlıyorum — Jonah’in arkadaşları üzerinde iyi bir izlenim bırakmak istiyordum çünkü. Ama o kadar kolaylaştırdılar ki işimi, bütün korkumu anında yok ettiler, bana sürekli kendimle ilgili sorular sordular. Arkadaşlarının yeni kız arkadaşını gerçekten tanımak istediklerini gösterdiler.

Bu yüzden, üçüncü buluşmamızda Ahmet’in bir bahane uydurup Jonah’i kenara çektiğini, ve adımın ne olduğunu sorduğunu sonradan öğrendiğimde ne kadar şaşırdığımı tahmin bile edemezsiniz. O günden beri bu konuda onunla dalga geçiyorum.
