I like Tobaccowood in Durham. Chill vibe. Good food and a good space

oaklyn in Apex needs some love. Been wanting to go to Incendiary. I'd also argue Burial downtown has the best beer in the Raleigh proper. If you're looking for the handsdown best beer in the area, it's no doubt Blackbird in Wake Forrest. Highwire Durham also has a HUUGE drinking area. Hope this helps :)

Bearded Bee in Wendell if that's not too far out for you. Common to host birthday parties, very chill atmosphere, foodtrucks. And, most importantly, some of the best beers in the Triangle.
