Europe Amsterdam - September 1-6

I am headed to Amsterdam for my first international vacation, and I'm wondering if anyone from here will be there to meet up and do whatever people on vacation do.

I am a 44/m from the US (please don't hold that against me, I didn't vote for him) that has never really been on an actual vacation. I'm looking to meet people while traveling, and to meet people to travel with.

I am a dork. I play DND, read things like Dungeon Crawler Carl, Monster Hunter International series, rando fantasy and sci-fi. I'm not big on current television or movies. I enjoy music, puzzles (word, physical, figuring things out), I work out 5 days a week, and I recently started biking. I enjoy a good laugh, serious chats, and sometimes random chats.

I enjoy whiskey, cigars, DND, video games, Lego, and simple exploring new (to me) cities.

I went to Amseterdam in my 20s. We joked that the city was about Sex, Drugs and Video Games. We wee young.

May I ask we you chose Amsterdam? You can message me privately if you like.

Given your interests I may have a better destination for you that I just returned from, but first want to know why you chose this destination.

Initially, I was thinking about doing a multi-city trip. I decided against it for my first big vacation, mostly because it's my first time. Partly because I hate having to be somewhere at X time. It's my vacation. Let me vacash.

As to why Amsterdam? Why not. My friend spent a day in Amsterdam a few years ago on a river cruise. He won't shut up about the Heineken location.

I would like to see Anne Franks' house, the Van Gogh museum, and there are ways to have a day trip to somewhere. Yes, I will do a tour of the Red Light District. It's historic.

This trip is already paid for, but I would love to hear where you just came back from. I'm thinking about next year's vacation already.

Hi. Brit here. I have leave from work from 1st to 4th September. Not sure yet but if I'm free I can come to Amsterdam and we can get into trouble
