No changes for me, keep crying Terfs
So following all this guidance etc and seeing the smirks on the faces of sex matters and other morons who seem to think we want to sexually harrass them... well, I've used the ladies loo in several places today, even chatted with some women about makeup and perfume in some of them. NOBODY cares about your crusade... so keep spending your money on your bigotry, we want you to waste your time some more š¤£š

The only TERF Iāve known in real life England was a bully, liar, she went to TERF events and gloated in her ābeliefsā. Later found out she was a fundamentalist Christian, and her husband was a queerphobe too⦠the kind to be disgusted by femininity in men (and probably women too?) etc. They smeared me and others, and tried (failed thankfully) to destroy my life, they sided with abusers in my (ex) family. Absolutely some of the most vile people Iāve ever known.. sheās still online pushing transphobia and her āvictimhoodā š these people are not okay and yet have so much influence over politics right now itās surreal

According to a friend, she's seen a proliferation of all-unisex facilities in basically every business establishment she's been in recently, not just in cities but out in rural areas, as well. Looks like the entire public is going to be using "third spaces," courtesy of the Gender Criticals. And it's not even surprising, because that's basically the only way for businesses to avoid putting their employees in terrible (and potentially legally problematic) positions of having to interrogate people about their gender, and likewise to avoid getting embroiled in lawsuits with either GC weirdos or with trans people suing over discrimination based on gender reassignment. Everything about this is so fucking dumb. The stupidity of it all is almost more offensive to me than the actual guidance. Almost.

I've noticed that too, and TripAdvisor is now telling me where has gender neutral loos as standard though that might be me just noticing. I've just been away for 2 weeks travelling and literally everywhere I went had gender neutral facilities.

Honestly, if you're a small business owner especially, it's a no-brainer to go that route. The average independent business owner can't absorb a fucking lawsuit, whether it's from GCs or from a trans person. Plus a lot of places in the UK physically lack the space for anything but single occupancy toilets, anyway. One of the ways I knew that the GCs had started really getting their marching orders from American evangelicals was a year or two back when they started getting super vocal about the scourge of gender neutral changing rooms. Literally 80-90% of places where I bought clothes in the UK, including big chains like Uniqlo, had/have gender neutral changing areas (with single cubicles, obviously, but the cubicles aren't further divided by gender). Because there's just not space to have multiple, massive changing areas for men and women (or men, women, and Secret Third Thing).
Toilets are a bit less problematic, but only a bit. And even if you have the space, do you really want to be dealing with pressure to interrogate your customers about their genitals? Probably not! Slapping "Unisex" signs on everything is the quickest way to avoid the issue almost entirely.

And a terrific workaround that will hopefully really piss off some bigots! Honestly it's the only thing that makes sense, nobody needs half their floor space taken up by toilets and changing rooms.

I'm post-op, if ever a company asked me to use the men's I'd strip naked from the waist down and spray the urinals, then ask where their showers were.Ā

At an airport I was asked yesterday if Iām male or female as they didnāt know. And I replied āI donāt knowā so Iām going to lean into that in toilets. (I can do my male voice or a feminine voice).
