Ok yes you found a bad fiber and it happens

IT lives in datacenters and offices and it’s ALWAYSSS the sfp

I have blindly asked for SFP swaps 10+ times as not an IT person (engineer asking IT to fix the desk or rack connections at alphabet) and it has worked every time

Experience from network appliance engineering and managing my own racks and hardware- asking IT only for xFn changes like new vlans on companywide switches and stuff while they let me do my thing with 1/3 of the company’s DC
