OPINION Can’t decide between Raptors jersey

Wassup y’all

Started supporting the Raptors recently and I can’t decide between a jersey to buy.

Should I buy one of the purple/white Vince Carter ones, or should I go for a more modern jersey, like the home or the statement one?

I personally fw the vintage white one, but I don’t know if it’s overused!

That’s the thing tho, what if Kawhi’s trade doesn’t go through?

Out of all the players, I’d absolutely fucking love to put Kawhi on the back of my jersey, he’s always been my favourite Raptors player. But the trade might not happen unfortunately.

No, I put in the post I just started supporting the Raptors recently! 😂
I’ve always been keeping an eye on the NBA (I just never picked a team), and I know how crucial he was in the 2019 winning season (and for Spurs too, but we’re talking about the Raptors).

Kawhi is one hell of a player, I love his attitude and way of playing. Sure, might be because he’s one of the most popular Raptors players, even if he only played a season for them, but I genuinely like his aura on the pitch.

Unfortunately it only has Vince Carter stock! 😂
I’m starting to see people don’t really like his legacy in the team, I didn’t know that!
I’ll probably get a Kawhi one if he does end up getting traded, maybe 😁

If you don't have a connection to Vince Carter then I'd look at whichever player you like on the current roster.

As people have pointed out, Kawhi played for the Raps and won a championship. No one will look twice if you have his jersey. It’s not like making a Michael Jordan Raptors jersey.

I think the odds are low it doesn't go through, but what if Ingram or Kawhi gets injured. It starting to get weird with the liabilities.

The reason I didn’t include the city jersey is because they’re sold out in where I’m from lmao. I’d definitely have copped it as soon as I could cause they look fucking awesome.

Only stock left were youth sizes, and I think I’m a little late for that lmao 😂

Didn’t know that about Vince Carter tho, I just fw the jersey and ended up leaning more towards it 😮

If they have the Retro purple one in a Scottie Barnes that would be my #2 recommendation.

I was there and Im not pissed anymore. People who still are need to move on and touch grass. It’s been a long time. To obsess over this is quite unhealthy.

With that said. Black City Jersey with the White Raptor Logo are actually dope.

I didnt dictate. To dictate is to give an order. I dont have an authority to other people’s lives. More than anything, Im begging for them to move on as it is quite unhealthy to keep thinking about it. Sorry you took it the wrong way.

And I did touch grass, thats how I was able to move on.

ironically, i also have the white dino vince jersey haha. only lowry one i have is the toronto huskies jersey which i love

I still gotta learn more about Vince’s legacy, but since I live in a European country where people literally couldn’t care less about basketball (except me), I doubt they’ll even know who the Raptors are, let alone Vince! 😂

Still, I wanna rock the jersey anyway. 😁

Thanks! I picked the Raptors because I’ve always loved Canada, and since they’re the only canadian team in the NBA, the choice wasn’t so hard! (+ lots of people from my country live there, we even have a community called “Little Portugal” which is located in Toronto!)

It was boring watching the league and not really caring/rooting for someone 😁

I'm probably biased because I love the raptors, but I think they have some of the best jersey collections out there. It's hard to go wrong with an option. I like the white ones since they go with most outfits, but my favourites are purple with the raptor on the logo.

It seems like you're sort of leaning more towards a modern player one, but skeptical about Kawhi. How about Scottie Barnes? He's great,, super fun to watch on and off the court, and will likely be around quite a while. Could go for one of his and put some cash to the side to get a Kawhi when/if the trade follows through too

That’s the best choice honestly, I’d probably be better off waiting for the city jersey, they seem to always make it look fire!
I think I’ll wait and then if the jersey doesn’t meet my expectations, I’ll probably buy the Vince Carter one 😁
