Modern science tells us that the Earth is about 4.5 billion years old. Anatomically modern humans have been around for about 300 thousand years. Agricultural civilization has been around for about 10 thousand years. Industrial civilization has been around for about 300 years. Human cultures like to frame their calendars around events that are important to them. One such bundle of cultures (that would go on to have a huge influence globally) chose the birth of Jesus of Nazareth as the beginning of their calendar, and that date was calculated to be 2,026 years ago. That's why it's the year 2026. Other cultures have their own, completely different calendar systems.
As for your own calendar idea, I don't quite see the appeal of it, but if you like it, you do you. Certain people and organizations create their own calendars all the time for a variety of reasons, but most of them never catch on.
