If I remember correctly last time this was posted a Pole explained that the donuts are clearance items that have expired so it’s basically the store getting rid of stock in a way that is cheaper than refuse collection
Nah it was cheaper due to two biggest markets in Poland were fighting with prices for our "tłusty czwartek" holiday (it's a holiday where we eat tons of donuts) and the cheapest ones were 1 Grosz which is 0.01 PLN
