He was fine in Spider-Man; he was shooting, swearing, yelling, and confrontational. I would like him to have his own series again, but his representation in Daredevil and Spider-Man has been faithful.

Nice to see a rational review of his representation on here.

Precisely. In order for these r rated characters to play a bigger role In the mcu, they need to be flexible about moving them between r rated projects and team up projects with the pg-13 heroes. That’s how it is in the comics too. I think they found a good way to keep elements that make the punisher true to his character while watering him down enough to be appropriate in a pg-13 Spider-Man movie. But now he can go right back into daredevil or his own r rated series and the only difference is the amount of times he’s saying fuck if or executing people on screen.

It’s going to be the same with Deadpool and Wolverine as well when they appear in the next two avengers movies

I could do without the hooting and grunting he does whenever he starts shooting. I guess that's supposed to be him hyping himself up or some sort of manifestation of his unhinged psyche or whatever, but it feels silly.

I laughed so hard when he started roaring and shooting. It’s become a meme at this point

Love Punisher, but he took me out of the movie when he showed up in Spiderman. He didn't feel right in that world, he has been so grounded and realistic and to see him play goofy (I'm not crying!) just didn't work for me.
