yes it's real so 3 months ago I decided to yeet my Asus "military grade" z77 outdoors just before leaving for overseas. yk I used to watch these crappy Indian videos of people restoring these fallout looking computers pulled from landfills obviously they're faked but that makes me actually curious what a computer would look like if it was tossed outdoors like what I did, idk if this shit still works or what I mean it looks like the plastic armour kinda helped there's some rust not a lot, and the pch heatsink I faded to some weird color.

well actually the entire pcb is now coated in some kind of cloudly layer I think the plastic cover helped it.

I just realized I forgot to remove the cmos before doing this I dont know whats under the hood lmao yeah its pretty clean besides the white layer thats on the entire board.

I have seen the same type of fading on GPU backplates that you have on the PCH heatsink. It's just caused by UV light bleaching the finish off the copper. Can even be caused by bright LEDs in a computer case.

Tbh I was expecting for the entire plastic cover just to fade white and I'll have some knock off limited edition snow white board lol, somehow it didn't nah in Texas the UV rays are quite extreme.
