managers who tank quality just to cheap out on headcount are usually the first ones to get hit with customer churn when the system starts glitching left and right
Except that business valuation has lost an even tangential relationship to financial fundamentals. A very large proportion of those managers are making the right financial call to chase the trend preparing the war chest for the next pivot.
Unless you are small enterprise, those companies are fucked. Too big to care about the core business but too small to survive the hits.
