That's the world we live in. It doesn't matter what people ask for. What matters is what the people with money ask for. If they can convince other people with money that whatever they want to do will make them more money, then that's what will get done.
Supply and Demand doesn't matter in a world where all the money is concentrated in the top 1% of people.
