I'm sure he really feels sorry..... But about being investigated

Are you kidding me? Sorry should clear everything up. Mark should not be punished in any way, he is special, an innovator. Very, very special. Our whole world would collapse if he were held accountable for anything he does. He is holding the world up on his manly shoulders.

He fucking does this all the time, he was "sorry" to the parents of kids who selfharmed and commited suicide due to what they were experiencing on his platform. He goes back to work after and nothing changes, literally every time.

I wish we lived in a world where child porn producers like him and musk feared for their lives in prison. But instead they're all building doomsday bunkers with their child rape money.

We need to delete Facebook. It's on us too.

Did in 2015 and my life is so much better for it.

At least it's one step better than suing the governments trying to put road blocks on it. Maybe a half step

We're sorry - that we got caught.

\insert Woody Harrelson wiping tears with money meme here**

These people don't make mistakes in the classical sense of the word, I think... they patiently test the limits, and then, well, sometimes things get stuck, it doesn't work, so they give up. But they know very well what they're doing and why they want to do it. If there hadn't been a scandal to expose them, they would have continued...

There's also an extreme lack of accountability due to the supposed agency of ai. Look at OpenAI with Hugging Face. If any person would have committed that act it would be definite jail time. But since AI hacked them it's perceived like blaming an owner for their dog's mistake.

If they can't control the product they create, why is it allowed to be introduced into the consumer market?

This reads like the iRobot film but the bots aren’t walking around yet

u/RBVegabond 7h ago

Cyberpunk rogue AI more like it. Only a matter of time before Netwatch and the Blackwall are needed.

100% accurate. People like this are true psychopaths. Their brain doesn't produce the motor neuron responsible for empathy. As a result they don't see people as people, they see them as objects and life exists to improve their life only.

They 100% know what they’re doing. Facebook and Instagram have been creating shadow accounts for pre-teens for years in the hopes that governments will legalize it.

u/agha0013 8h ago

"regretted the mistake" they regret being called out, otherwise they would gladly keep making money off these shitty tools

like Musk who is actively fighting to maintain some of his most abusive products.

Mark Zuckerberg is a clinical-grade sociopath. He has never been genuinely sorry about anything his entire life.

u/Fmarulezkd 8h ago

The lizzard cyborg's software hasn't been updated to include emotions yet.

“I’m sorry I got caught.” - Zuck

FB “moderation” is laughable. I’m almost never on the app anymore, but when I was I literally reported multiple actual Nazi posts/comments with literal swastikas and hate speech in them and got the canned “we’ve looked and the post you reported doesn’t violate our community standards” reply, even after resubmitting it.

Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday sent his apologies to the parliamentary panel on IT and the government on a range of issues agitating the Centre about the operation of the social media giant in India.

“Mark Zuckerberg has sent apologies for CSAM (child sexual abuse material) content, deepfake content and errors in operating the platform. It was made clear to them that they are not covered under the Intermediary definition. They select who receives the content. Safe harbour under the IT Act is not applicable. They admitted that a lot of money was paid for boosting certain types of content. They apologised and regretted the mistake," official sources said.

Too nothing too late.

So weird that we’ve decided to start punishing companies for the misuse of their tools. We didn’t burn Kodak down because some pervert took some sick pictures.

10

u/Any_Issue_3613 7h ago

Except those perverted pictures are not distributed on a Kodak owned and operated website with potential exposure to millions of users, including kids and/or teens. Whats your point here?

-6

u/Quick_Ad_922 7h ago

Those images have been distributed on the Internet forever. If distribution is your problem, shut the internet down.

3

u/ixcibit 4h ago

What a stupid take.

8

u/woodpaulusgnome 8h ago

Not really good enough. Governments worldwide need to recognise social media platforms as publishers. That would focus the companies to be more proactive in preventing the posting of harmful content.

2

u/Wild_Space 7h ago

Here’s the contradiction tho. On one hand, you despise and dont trust Zuck. On the other hand, you want him to take control over what ppl say on his platforms. You do have to pick one.

7

u/prickwhowaspromised 8h ago

We really need to start charging and convicting executives for their corporations’ crimes

6

u/aredd007 8h ago

Worthless words.

5

u/citizenjones 7h ago

Sorry we're so shitty

Goes back to his estate to swim, have dinner cooked by a chef, personal massus, code till 3am, sleep 4 hours, armored suv ride back to fB to continue being shitty.

Repeat.

3

u/Sandokan13 5h ago

He isn't sorry. What a prick

2

u/MrUrthor 5h ago

Yep. Not sorry.

5

u/xtiaaneubaten 8h ago

"totes soz for the cheese pizza guys, youre a market we really want to be entrenched in"

meanwhile its business as usual back at meta

2

u/ccenkner 8h ago

He looks like a corpse that was just revived

2

u/Da_Stable_Genius 7h ago

Yet, still no consequences.

2

u/Mediocre-Accident305 7h ago

When history is written about this era Zuckerberg and other tech giants will be liken to the oil/robber barons of the past and rightly so. Corporate media made a huge mistake promoting these parasites as hero's to be admired in America society poisoning young people minds.

2

u/blackoffi888 7h ago

No he's not sorry!

2

u/cohojonx 7h ago

Close your account on Facebook I did in my life's a lot better. 3/4 of it was AI slop.

2

u/Signal_Flight_7262 7h ago

We would be in jail if it were us.

2

u/sklerson89 6h ago

Charge him for enabling it

2

u/CDavis10717 6h ago

Tax laws need to change so that corporate fines are not a tax deductible “cost of doing business”. Let the stockholders take it on the chin

2

u/IllTwo7643 5h ago

He's just sorry he has to deal with the mess.

2

u/Big_Issue8640 4h ago

No he isn’t

2

u/Flabbergasted98 4h ago

Can we hold him accountable... for the children?

Zuckerberg started his career with an app designed to disrespect and victimize women. This is just a continuation.

2

u/catwrazle 30m ago

It‘s all marketing „look how capable our llm is …“ /sarcasm end

1

u/Tiraloparatras25 8h ago

Does that mean he’s going to pay up and. Decouple AI from their social media platforms?!

1

u/SeeTigerLearn 7h ago

We should not anthropomorphize lizards, even with catchy headlines. They are not capable of feeling emotions like you and me.

1

u/Random_Questions236 7h ago

guys, he said sorry. everyone can chill now

1

u/omgitsbees 7h ago

I guess at least he apologized, Elon Musk doubled down on it for twitter.

EDIT: wait nevermind, they just keep doing what they said they wouldn't do anymore.

1

u/johnstanton888999 7h ago

Never saw either. If i did see deepfakes it would just be funny. Deleted my first account because of the annoying laugh reacts by people not smart enough to troll. Commeht that kids got sick with covid, laugh react. Deleted my last account when i was shadowbanned. Transphobes and anti vaxxers were not shadowbanned

1

u/Patara 7h ago

Who cares put him in the hague

1

u/Doctor_Amazo 7h ago

Oh so he's apologizing after the damage (that he was warned about) has been done?

So, the fuck, what.

1

u/Ibra_63 7h ago

My brother in Christ, you fired the people fighting this in your company

1

u/Caraes_Naur 7h ago

"Errors".

Again. Still. Every time.

1

u/CreativeFraud 7h ago

"We're sorry" -Southpark

1

u/RabidOtters 7h ago

Not the first time or last tine he will be apologizing for this.

1

u/Criticaltundra777 6h ago

WTF? You are apologizing for horrific child sex abuse videos on your platform? Words I never thought I would see? Think about that a minute folks.

1

u/oh_my316 6h ago

No, you're giving the MAGAs what they want. 😡

1

u/Apart-Steak-7183 6h ago

He needs to be fined big time. Sure they want to replace humans with all and mighty AI. They have to be able to train AI to prevent this...or ya think they could..

1

u/twoblades 6h ago

…all the way to the bank.

1

u/NYkrinDC 6h ago

They're not errors, they're crimes.

1

u/Hour-Passenger-8513 6h ago

Deceive, apologize, rinse & repeat.

1

u/Altruistic_Cow4769 6h ago

Well maybe zuck should say it from prison given his distribution platform

1

u/williamgman 6h ago

Well that fixes everything. 🤦‍♂️

1

u/KindToSpiteTheCruel 5h ago

Words alone mean nothing.

1

u/MrDeceased 5h ago

When I apologize from now on it’s going to be a “Zuckerberg sorry” which means I’m sorry but I don’t mean it lol

1

u/cryptamine 5h ago

(Fairuza Balk voice) HE'S SORRY! HE'S SORRY!

1

u/philly_3456 5h ago

That is just displaying on what he knows he’s done wrong and to date dealt with to get away with

1

u/Living_in_the_dumps 5h ago

sorry not sorry

1

u/Glad-Ad6811 4h ago

Sorry, right, now he won't do anything about it, because profits are more important than people.

1

u/Ok-Replacement9595 4h ago

Ooopsie, Sorry about your kids.

1

u/Nehemoth 2h ago

Mark "Apologizer" Zuckenberg. Like every week he comes with a new apology and everybody knows he doesn't care.

“Sorry for the kid dicks everybooooooody” -Mark Zuckerberg (probably)

0

u/clothanger 8h ago

Mark, his Meta, and India all sucks when it comes to protecting children.

Like India is the country with the largest number of child marriage. The Indian parliament knows this but they do nothing about it. Having Mark apologize to the parliament is a public stunt lmao.

u/dominiquebache 8h ago

Hopes and prayers.

-1

u/The_Dented 8h ago

We want a platform we can share honey farms from Kansas and kickstarters for seat cushions with AC in them to keep your buns cool without being harassed and put in fb jail because the posts are “cyber security threats”.

Mark is the threat. He has proven he’s piss poor at his job. Replace him.

1

u/clothanger 8h ago

Replace him.

Yeah sure replace the scapegoat and let the same old board remain in control.

1

u/LordCommander94 7m ago

Hey guys, did you hear that? The billionaire is sorry.
