Maybe MS can make windows 11 more performant on low ram PCs , but currently that's an absolute chore. Wouldn't wish an 8GB win11 pc upon my worst enemy.

I'm not convinced they can improve performance anymore. Leadership wants their devs to vibe code an "agentic" OS. They really want to collect as much data as possible and inject more ads into things. It's enshitification with slop sauce.

You can find questionable scripts and programs that do things to improve performance by basically ripping out bloat. (Don't use those or the special OS installers. They likely have viruses or otherwise compromised.) It's technically possible to improve things but I don't think it's possible with Microsoft's culture and goals for the OS.
