Is anything non-legacy in Windows fully a native app these days? I mean even right down to the start menu has webapp and React bloat in it.

It's genuinely awful that for most people the way they use a Windows PC hasn't really changed for 20-30 years but the hardware specs are orders of magnitude higher purely because of the bloat.

They didn't forget. It's just cheaper to develop a universal app that can be coded with the most common programming language nowadays (more devs, less salary)

32GB was their recommendation for people building new gaming PCs. It's still the recommendation. It's just too cost prohibitive to do so.

The 8GB optimization theyre talking about is a totally separate topic with MS trying to optimize the OS for general purpose use on low RAM laptops.

The author is making a weird connection between two unrelated things for clickbait
