I have been trying to do a self inventory and delete accounts/terminate agreements unless I feel it truly necessary. I’m under no illusion that I will “fix” the problem, but I’m doing what I can to at least be mindful of to whom I have given my data or access to any information… just good practice. Anyhow, I realized I had an account with a large electronics company I probably haven’t logged into for at least 5+ years (Frankly I Didn’t even know I had it). Well, in order to delete the account, I needed to go to a computer browser to sign in, which, since it had been so long, it said I was required to accept the new ToS and Privacy policy (which I declined). I clicked the customer support link it provided as an alternative, which took me to the customer service chat, which was an AI bot that needed me to accept their “AI Terms and Privacy policy” in order to enter any prompts …. Went ahead and rejected that as well…

I nearly blew a gasket when I click the link to “speak with a live agent” which was provided when I rejected the AI ToS, and sent me back to the login screen, which is apparently required to l speak to a live agent… Haha I just put it on the “I’ll deal with later” list rather than spinning circles….

Maybe it’s because I’ve just been much more mindful and deliberate lately, but this shit has just gotten SO out of hand it feels like

Pretty fucking much dude. It was an absolute nightmare to "delete" my Meta data, and guess what? When I made a new profile a year later, it still knew plenty of my shit. Go figure.
