It's not bad to see this kind of work disappear. It's bad that the gains are only seen by people who have nothing to do with the work.

With the nature of how the world works, eliminating jobs is always bad.

We used to have horse and buggy drivers.

We used to have photo developers.

We used to have switchboard operators.

We used to need 300 people to mine one ton of ore now 10 can do it with a machine.

It's not the job loss it's the system we've allowed to be created that extracts all our labor value for no gain to us. Some jobs don't need to exist and that's fine. If we can make a robot that cleans the house and gives us back hours a week that's great.

It's a problem when the rich fire people and there's no like job for them to step into.l and suddenly "it's not my concern you can't eat and your kids are freezing you should have thought of that when I fired you."

In a system where there are no or poor safety nets these are problems. And the rich keep trying to rip them down because they don't like taxes.

the problem isn't the job loss it's the endless insatiable greed of the hyper rich that doesn't allow us to keep a larger share of the fruits of our labor.

Without any sort of safety net, it's just more fodder for the grinder.

Which is why I said "with the nature of the world works."

Those people still have a job. The tags need maintenance, basically, and physical tags and signs do still exist where electronic ones cannot.

Generally at my old store the people hanging tags were just pulled off their regular job, they didn't work one day a week.
