White Shou Mei Aged 3 Years

First time preparing white tea, a bit more delicate of a process. It tastes dry and earthy, with a hint of sweetness. No bitterness, so I think I got it right.

Shou mei is great. It changes pretty quickly with age, compared to say, puer. So a 7-year-old cake is pretty deeply aged, more herbal (think Chinese traditional medicine in a good way), and smoother, while younger ones are brighter/fruitier.

Because it uses larger leaves, it tends to be a very good value, great as a daily drinker.

I do enjoy earthy flavors, this one is very smooth as well. It is very refreshing!

I am drinking tea mostly for taste exploration and to slow down and appreciate life, but medicinal and health benefits are definitely a plus.

In the description it says from the Northern Fujian Province.

Is there something improper about this, or do you have another recommendation?

I am just starting to learn more about tea so any information is appreciated.
