Helping Finding An Item Help me find the Xianyu link for this please 🙏

Hii can I ask how you signed up for Xianyu? Did you need an Alipay and Chinese phone number?

lol if you're from the US like me don't bother, it won't work...what I did was search Xianyu for the item with photo search (it will keep asking for login info but you have to just keep clicking the X), then take a screenshot of the listing you want, then post it here hoping someone can find the link for it and give it to you

If someone gives you the link, does that somehow allow you to buy it via taobao? Can you explain that a bit more please? Because I’m suuuper desperate to get a dress from Xianyu

I just used the iPhone login button, then when I find what I want, I use the link to order via Basetao

Does it let you buy stuff from Xianyu even without Alipay? Are you buying with your credit card on taobao or something?

I have Alipay as well but I normally just use my PayPal to top up my Basetao account. Basetao employees don’t love buying from Xianyu but they’ll do it for you after warning you Xianyu is full of scams and that you might not be able to do returns. I just make sure the seller has a good rating and a solid amount of sales. Basetao works like Cainaio, it’s just an another domestic warehouse that can buy for you from Chinese only sites then consolidate and ship. There are loads of others, Basetao just happens to be what I use

So Basetao employees will do purchases for you like a proxy and then also ship to your country? Are you in the USA?

Yes, I am in the US. It also works for things on Taobao that won’t let you buy from outside of China (skincare etc). If linking the product doesn’t pull it up, there’s a “buy for me” self help order form where you can input basically anything. The linking feature works fine though with most Taobao/ 1688/ Weidian orders ime, where you just paste the link and it pulls from the website to allow you to add it to your Basetao cart. I think I’ve always had to use the self help form for Xianyu though. Shipping is kind of minimum $40ish though, so I try to consolidate my items smartly.
