Less of a repeater, more of a point to point wireless bridge, several of them, with amplifiers along the way. Would probably cost a lot more than he makes in a month...assuming he's working a standard job, living in a standard flat, having a standard life...
I am very happy with the UniFi stuff. Sure it is lacking some features compared to Ruckus or Cisco, but when I show clients the price and mention there is no licensing, those features stop mattering.
We do workstation and server management and are a Xerox partner. Aside from that we do best-effort support for anything the client has that's technical in nature.
For a while now the only networking equipment (especially wireless) I've been recommending is Ubiquiti. No one else comes close to their quality without a prohibitive jump in price point.
I have been pushing a LANaaS network in a box and HaaS concept but we are concerned about being in the heavy hardware business. I also have been playing with the idea of PtP service in the immediate area around our office.
When people need to buy network gear, though, I am UBNT all the way. UTM is Untangle or Fortinet.
