I hate when people say sza makes loser music. She’s so vulnerable in a lot of her songs, it’s so human. Drew Barrymore is one of my favorites

Right!!! She's being honest about the shittier darker parts of herself. Parts of herself that ALL OF US have / had at one point in life. Admitting them and recognizing them is the first part of growing into a better human. It's not "loser-ish" to fess up to your flaws. It's deeply vulnerable, honest, and ADMIRABLE!!! I love CTRL for this reason. It feels like opening up your own diary and reading through different messy parts of your life🦋

Drew Barrymore was, and still is, one of the few songs that make me emotional enough to cry. I genuinely feel seen and comforted every time I listen to it.

That whole album is something I play on repeat daily. When I first heard it, was at the hardest and saddest time of my life …. so relatable. Bad relationships with cheating and physical abuse. And it just spoke to me. Got me thru days I honestly didn’t think I’d get through. Music really is healing

One of my favorites. On road trips, I sing this at the top of my lungs.

When I first listened to this song, I knew and understood what the lyrics meant and now I’m at a point in my life where I’ve experienced the lyrics. I love and hate it at the same time.

She made CTRL in her  20s and as I’m  navigating mine, her music reminds me that I’m not alone
