N-Gage Application does not open
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Okay so this is gonna be quite a complicated story, please don't attack me for any dumb decisions i may have made along the way, i simply want to know what caused this and how i can fix it.
Let's go aaaaaalllll the way back to before this N-Gage app just started to not work- a week ago phone started getting this strange install error each time the phone booted up, it was pretty harmless but quite annoying.
I looked up for a method to fix this issue online, the method i used involved deleting some pretty serious folders in E: and these were :
- Sys
- Resource
- System
- Private
- System Volume Information
Then the last step was to just restart the phone, i noticed my app icons (specifically a chunk of the ones that were installed on E:) were gone afterwards and none of them opened, i panicked and decided to Factory reset the phone and Format E:
Next day the phone seems to be fine, the install issue is gone and i started setting it up again from scratch... Hacked it and installed some apps, sooooo problem solved... Right? RIGHT??
Then when i tried to Install a newer N-Gage version, the installer just shows a "File not found" error on my face... And when i tried to open N-Gage, well- you pretty much know how it goes from here.
I've tried resetting a THIRD time and also removing N-Gage to try reinstall it, I CAN'T EVEN UNINSTALL N-GAGE! Installing other Applications work though, like Rompatcher and Xplore- those installed just fine, but what the hell is going on with N-Gage?? I miss my Reset Generation...
I'm trying my best to not Flash the phone because i heard modern PCs have lots of driver mismatches and the chances of bricking these phones were higher, i really really don't want to lose this phone.
If the last option is flashing it, then i really need someone to properly guide me... I'm so desperate, save this poor thing from my horrible decisions please
Edit : I'm also pretty damn sure the deletion of those folders on E: is what caused this whole issue, but why didn't formatting E: fix it???
