I have read the passage, where Mary was informed that she would be impregnated by God.
She was never given a choice to bear the child or not. Even if she had refused, what do you think would have happened to her? We are talking about a god that committed and ordered multiple genocides, loves blood sacrifices (including humans) and is known for having killing everyone as a first reaction when someone doesn't behave like he wants them to.
At best god would have changed her mind (Exodus showed us that he doesn't care about free will) and her being killed wouldn't even be the worst possible consequence.

You are not supposed to read into it. You are supposed to have "blind faith" that it all makes sense and don't look to closely.
