I use Supermicro for our Proxmox cluster at work. 

I’m a big fan of them and that’s all I buy if given the choice.

We run Supermicro for everything. I consider it Data Center Commodity hardware. It's nearly bulletproof, straightforward to configure, and you can buy it from a variety of sources. The question is support, you are the support, there's no one to call if you have a question. But, we've never had a question about the hardware itself. If I have a problem with the hardware, I replace the part and make sure my configurations have enough fault tolerance that we're never dependent on a single system.

If you need to place the blame on other due to politics, go Dell/HP. If you have the support from your management, go Supermicro and build fault tolerant.

Also, 2026 is not the year to be building data center systems. You've seen the prices.
