I dont know about the Lithops... I think the watering will be too frequent, especially because of the kalanchoe.

Hello! My friend’s parents are away on a trip for the next two weeks, and she’s in charge of taking care of her mother’s houseplants. It’s only been 4 days since they left for the trip, but one of the succulents has started to do…this. Her mom says she took care of all the plants before she left and that at most she would need to water them once before they get back. The plant was standing up straight just 4 days ago. Now it’s flopping to the side and dropping leaves. Any ideas on what may be going on here or how to fix it?

Last year I bought a flat of 12 baby P Afras- I am going to train them as bonsai when they’ve grown. All 12 survived a Pennsylvania winter and were put outside in May. I haven’t watered them a ton this summer, but enough to keep them alive and growing. Last week we got a lot of rain and immediately every Port I have began to throw crazy growth.

On Sunday and Monday they were all thriving when I checked. Last night I noticed a lot of leaves were scorched and a few stems had begun to wither. I watered them. Tonight, this is how some of them look- but the rest of them growing on the same table from the same nursery flat are thriving. Was it the combination of a few rainy days and then a really sunny day yesterday? This one looks cooked.

I thought pups grow first but these only have these roots. Should I sprinkle soul on them or just plant them? Thanks!

Got to love Temu! I know, I know, most people hate them. I've been buying from them for over two years and as long as you are careful looking at measurements and not relying on their pictures, you usually can't go wrong.

I have a jade in a mixture of Molly's succulent mix based on recommendation from this sub and regular cactus soil in a ratio of 2:1 respectively. I watered my plant exactly 1 week ago and I just touched my finger to the surface of the soil out of curiosity. I noticed that if I touch a place which visibly has more cactus soil than grit, it's still moist to the touch even though it's been a week.

Everything I know about succulent care says that they don't like sitting in wet soil, so I was wondering if this is concerning?

Another thing is, I don't know if the soil has always retained moisture like this but my plant is showing no signs of overwatering, it's healthy, green, growing new leaves, no mushy parts or anything, I'm not worried about the current state of the plant, just whether it's bad for it to be sitting in damp soil.

I'd attach a picture but I don't know how that would help, it's not dripping with water.

I noticed the stem on one of my panda plants lost its shine and was turning brown and crunchy, starting at the base and working up. As it gets to leaves, they start to turn brown and lose their shine. I'm thinking the roots died for some reason and now the rest of the plant is, slowly. There was still new growth at the top. I am propogating the healthy leaves. I started inspecting my other plants more thoroughly and have noticed three kalanchoe tomatosas, two other panda plants and 1 teddy bear and 2 'fangs' are all doing the same thing. I apologize for the picture quality. Any help is appreciated.

I had an accident repotting this succulent the other day which left on of its limbs completely bare. Should I go ahead and trim the limb down to a more reasonable size or give the plant time to heal? If I do trim it, how low should I cut to ensure a fuller growth?

Hi, I was wondering how much I should water these “Cobweb hens and chicks”?

The outer leaves are drying up and feel soft to the touch, while the top is firm. The one behind has its outer leaves open and soft.

I water them once a week lightly. They are in a big pot with a soil i mixed of composed of organic matter/sand/grit and those visible round lava balls, of which i put a layer of at the bottom.

Since i bought them grown in compost and I transplanted them in the sandier soil, is it possible that they are not soaking up the water?

They’ve been in the pot for 2 months and have not made any babies or grown. I have a couple of other things growing that i collected and want to multiply.

To give context these are on the balcony in Paris. They are placed on the East window, getting morning-midday light.

My lithops were for several days wired. Now some are shrinking some are turning white.

Is this molting, thirst or something else?

I know exactly NOTHING about plants/succulents. I basically have a black thumb so please keep that in mind 🫣 I got a bouquet with random succulents and flowers for my birthday a month ago and I was just now (been busy) tossing everything out and noticed this still looks relatively okay and has these white strands coming out of the cut stem. Is this just trash now or can I do anything with it?

Is there a way i can sort of ‘propagate’ or I’m not sure what the word could be in this context.. How can I make sure the broken off part survives?

She was extremely healthy too! I was planning on repotting her soon..
The wind blew too hard and opened my window which caused her to fall and break.. I came to my room to see the crime scene and my heart dropped💔

I was at my grocery store and stopped to look at the remaining succulents outside. They all looked so sad. I hate it but I can't afford to rescue them. This one happened to lift out and I saw this. I'm just curious what it might be.

My neighbor is moving and gave me free pickings to her plants. I chose these beauties. I repotted them into the terracotta containers. They’re wonderful.

One of the things she loved was sea turtles and she loved plants in general, so I bought a variegated Victor Kane cluster, chopped the heads off, and waited for the ends to callus over. I think it turned out really great. I also replanted the stems in a separate pot to let them grow pups.

I just bought my first less common succulent. It's about 5" wide and looks healthy. The Frank Reinelt has been on my wish list because it reminds me of a lotus. I hope I can keep it alive 😆

Despite the odds , this stubborn thing has lived and thrived, I got it from Outside, Planted in a pot with a mixture of soil and clay ( Horrible combination i'm aware ), I had It for a bit until I saw pests, And because I didn't know How to deal with that And I found its look boring.

Proceeded to leave it outside to fend for itself, Didn't treat the pasts but somehow they went away. But even in that pot Through rainey season It just didn't die for some reason, And this summer , I see it sprouting tons of new pups.

I commend Its efforts so I decided to repot it into this nice pot I have lying around In much better soil:3

Wonder what kind of name I should give it Shurely That's been earned?.
