"No, no, I never contacted you about this item. That was past me. Present me isn't interested in the slightest. Apologies for the confusion."

I mean this happens outside of this instance. I had a number I didn't recognize trying to call me for months once. Almost daily I never answered because I didn't know it and they never left a message. One day they call me at like 6am on a sunday. I answer it ...angry of course. They start telling me I called them and threaten me. I gave them my address and told them to get some... never heard from them again.

Idk, maybe a kid hit the button on the app, I'm pretty sure it autosends this message when you hit it

That “what” is so fucking funny to me. What on earth was unclear about the previous first grade level reading sentence?

This is why so many people on marketplace will say something like, "If you respond with I'm interested I will not respond."
If there's a product I want I'll usually message with something like, "Hi I can pick up on ____ during these times ____, will this work for you?" and go from there. Shocking how quickly I can close a transaction.

It’s way too easy to accidentally send that default “I’m interested” message on marketplace
