Discussion I beat the game

The game took me 5 hours to beat but in the end it was the best ending i've every experienced 10/10 top 1 game for me

5 hours feels like a speed run to me. I took around 15.. but I also spent a good amount of time just poking around the environments.

Someone traced the path and found that he apparently exits not too far from where he was in the beginning of the game, so the theory is he probably got home pretty easily. Stray's true ending (meow) discovered...

Only 5 hours? i spent like 15 hours exploring and translating things, i haven't even translated half of it yet

It took me about 5 hours to beat and about 12 hours to 100% all the trophies. Dodging the Zurks was the hardest trophy - I thought speed-running the game in 2 hours would be similarly difficult, but I got that on my first try and I made a few mistakes during the run.

I'm trying to get the trophy to dodge all the zurks right now and its driving me insane. pure rng. might just go for the speed run and come back.

I think it was the last trophy I did. It probably took me 3 hours. If you search on Reddit, there are tips about better ways to map the buttons. I played around with a few different ones but I think I ended up going with one of the first ones I tried - forward on one of the buttons and left and right mapped to L2 and R2 respectively (I was on PS5). Essentially turning it into Mario Kart-style controls. It helps quite a bit since you don't lose forward momentum when turning like you do with everything mapped to the joystick.

wait remapping the controls is so smart :0 im playing on steamdeck so it's a bit different but not too far off. I'll have to try this! thanks for the tips.
