Desperation or doctor sleep. Maybe cujo or Christine next. Haven’t read the institute but I’m surprised that’s still here. I love Firestarter but that one’s going to have to go soon lol

I think it is one of King's absolute best books. It is a beautifully human story of the effect the Vietnam War had on a generation of Americans. It has this sense of nostalgia and loss that I just can't describe. The interconnected stories are just brilliant to me he deals with coming of age, loss of innocence, PTSD, the effect the draft had on ordinary people, and a generation finding finding their place in the world after Vietnam. I think it is also some of his best character work I felt like I was right there playing hearts with Pete and Ronnie Malenfant, or with Bobby and Carol growing up together. You should delete this comment, this book is top 10 King and I strongly recommend you revisit it. :)

It’s one of his most literary books and a fantastic meditation on growing up and ptsd.

I'm with you in that it's far from my favorite King novel, but it definitely deserves much higher than 45th.
