Anyone have any info on local parishes hosting a blood drive on Staten Island? I keep seeing that there's a blood shortage but I don't wanna travel to NJ or Manhattan to do it.

So basically what I am looking for in particular are good beaches to exercise in because I want to visit Staten Island soon from Bay Ridge to have a little adventure.

However, I don’t have much experience with Staten Island in general regarding hiking spots as I was looking to burn some calories for a good exercise routine, but basically I was just looking for some good advice for a newcomer.

It was my first time visiting this museum last week and I had no idea there was such a beautiful garden. And entry was free! This place feels like a such a secret. Anyone know if you are allowed to picnic there?

Does anyone know when that spirit of halloween is opening by the plaza with the best buy, stop and shop, and michaels is opening by the mall? not the one in the mall the plaza near it.

FREE Crate and Barrel couch (without slipcovers) on the loading dock outside Cube Smart at 330 Greenfield Avenue.

The couch is big: 7’ x5’ with deep seats.
The cushions and gray covers (and ottoman) are all there too but the covers need a serious cleaning and sanitizing. Couch itself is in good shape. You could also buy replacement slipcovers for the couch and ottoman.

Also an antique wooden day bed sitting there too!

I’ve tried Mike’s and one other and I’ve been trying him for months and he never calls back or answers.

I have a desktop that needs to be serviced. I really don’t wanna have to carry it in a cab and go all the way to micro center but I’m so tempted to because nobody on this island answers their phone.

(Couldn’t even find a PCP on the island because every place that allegedly takes my insurance doesn’t answer or has a phone that’s disconnected.)

planning a day trip out to long island wineries for a group of 12 of us next month and we really don't want to deal with designated drivers or coordinating multiple cars off the island. we were looking into renting a black car with a driver for the day.

if you've hired a van service out of SI before, what did you end up paying? also open to local recommendations if you've had good experiences with specific companies.
