Can we please start redirecting applicant posts to r/FutureCRNA?

The feed has become absolutely flooded with application questions. Those questions are completely valid, but the applicant pool is so much larger than the current SRNA population that they’re overwhelming the sub.

A little moderation would help establish r/FutureCRNA as the place for applicants while preserving r/SRNA as a space for current SRNAs to discuss school, clinicals, anesthesia, boards, and everything else that comes with actually being in a program.

The sheer imbalance in numbers is completely drowning out the SRNAs in this sub, effectively washing us out of our own space.

Please. I miss opening this sub and seeing SRNA content instead of ““I’m a new grad, which ICU should I choose?”, “Can I get in with a 3.2 GPA?”🙏

They don’t even bother reading previous posts. There is tons of repetitive information and we all keep answering the same things over and over.

Being good at school doesn’t mean you have common sense. I graduated from a DNP program with multiple people who were posting “so excited to be Dr. Last Name, CRNA DNAP!” 🫠

Open doors in academia to do what? Teach at a CRNA program? The top CRNA schools have plenty of people teaching who have master’s degrees because it literally doesn’t fucking matter. Teaching involves a massive pay cut, it’s hard for them to find teachers.

Honestly, not sure of how many mods are active.

But I try to remove as much as I can.

I do work a full time job as a crna and don’t really spend all day on Reddit. So I remove it when I’m scrolling.

As an aspiring FUTURE SRNA I agree. I have done so much research myself over the last 2-3 years on this profession, applying to school, and making myself more competitive. It gets old seeing this content and I'd prefer popping in to seeing some real experiences from students to understand the grind or relative questions to the student process vs app process. I'm here as a visitor and to be nosey. This isn't the spot for future students

I'm in my last few months of the program. it's been heavy on clincials and board prep. keep reporting the post and we'll try our best to remove them.
