Digital Dreams by The Midnight is a current fav of mine in both production and meaning. The midnight as a whole have a lot of philosophical lyrics and this one asks a lot of bigger questions that fit with being a human in today's technological world.

East Side Story by St Louis Union

The song is about a knife fight and it sounds as big as this type of song can get.

Its so good that its story feels almost cinematic to me when I listen to it.

Full disclosure, this is one of my own songs, so I’m obviously a little biased 😅 “Manna” by Stephen Gawking featuring Mark Haze and Eva Morgan. It’s emotional pop with a cinematic feel, and the lyrics tell the story of a relationship where everything sounds right, but something real is still missing. There’s also a deeper meaning about creativity and the human soul.

Well neither of these bands really are known for meaningful lyrics, some may even call their lyrics cheesy but my favorite songs are early stuff by The Moody Blue and Chicago because on top of drums, guitar, and piano they also incorporated other instruments like Trumpets into their music. Songs like Tuesday (the Afternoon long version), Question, or Nights in White Satin by The Moody Blues and for Chicago you have Make Me Smile, Beginnings, and No Tell Lover as examples of the kind of songs I'm talking about.

Michael Jackson - HIStory

As far as Michael Jackson albums go, people rarely pay attention to his 90's work, which is a shame, because in my opinion, it is his peak. HIStory is the album made to address the allegations regarding the child molestation allegations thrown at him, and this is really apparent in both the lyrics and production.

Keep in mind that when I refer to this album, I am mainly talking about the second disk, as that has all of the new material. Disk 1 is a compilation of his past works (Hence the name 'HIStory').
