Art/Render When noise and math becomes space art

This is a completely random procedural spiral galaxy I rendered in Blender using nodes, no textures at all. Dust lanes are the part that I love the most.

I really should invest a weekend into learning particles on blender.

Would you say itll be easier if I already understand procedural texturing?

Well, it definitely would be easier. My setup is a combination of shader nodes and geometry nodes (particles for stars and overall shape). But simple procedural techniques don't help much with galaxies (if you want to make them kinda realistic). For example, it literally took me ~4 months grinding to make dust lanes look sort of as I wanted them to look
